Professional Freelance Design since 1995

Expo 86 in Vancouver BC Canada possibly could have started my fascination with multimedia. As a youngster, I had never seen anything as intense as a laser light show. "Expo 86 rocked my world!", and I was inspired. As I grew older in the late 80's, I often played around on my family's computer either creating graphics & animation or experimenting with primitive internet communication technologies.

After an Arts Degree in Philosophy from the University of British Columbia left me searching for the meaning of life, I decided to use my computer skills, and I started to design for the "new" Internet in the early 1990's. I started Brian Chard Design in Vancouver BC and spent my early years being a freelance designer for companies such as Rocky Mountain Bicycles, Race Face Components, VeloNews Cycling Magazine, as well as various publicly traded companies and Internet start-ups.

I flourished in the “boom” years, and I survived the dot com “bust” of the late 90’s. And now, I operate a design business in Nelson, BC, Canada providing design and consulting services to small and large corporations & organizations. I have helped clients in many industries implement their online goals and reach the forefront of their industry through the use of professional design and strategic Internet development.

Over the past 15 years, I've become a renowned professional freelance designer and web development consultant. I create high-quality design for almost any medium, and I have an impressive client list. I realize the importance of good working relationships with my clients, and I try go beyond my clients' expectations whether the project is big or small.
