Brian Chard was a professor at St. Lawrence College in Kinston, Ontario, Canada. Teaching in both the School of Business and the Graphic Design Department, Brian Chard taught courses on internet marketing, advertising design and typography.  Software expertise and instruction was provided for Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign. Brian Chard also served as a leader in the student run design agency as part of the graduate certificate program in Digital Marketing Communications.
